Digipak Front Cover Progression
Created with flickr slideshow.
Rather than a page full of photos, i thought this method of displaying my progress of front covers would be a lot easier to view the comparison, (newest being last). I believe the biggest difference on the front cover is the font change/position/colour, as it stands out much more now even though it is nearer the bottom, which is also an advantage as the eye has a focus point (down the track) meaning the cover is more intriguing. The colours I have kept pretty much the same apart from the first two drafts, I think this is a good feature as the digipak will remain consistent thought and not look mis-matched.
Changing the picture from my Ansel Adams interpretation photos I took on holiday, i think was a good choice for the front cover, although that would have made the cover more simplistic i thought the images i took of my cast member were much more effective working with the gradient overlay i have applied though out, this means it still fits in with conventions. I have not completely discarded the images of the mountains as I still feel they fit in with my genre, there for I have decided to use them for the other panels in my digipak....
